0 Happenings in my Home

We have a lot of things going on at my house. First of all as you are all aware we are trying to finish up Jett's room. That project is coming along pretty well. When the baby comes at the end of the summer my office will be turning into a nursery.

While technically this room could be considered ready for a baby girl to move right in I am feeling an urge to do something different. The problem is I just don't know what! I feel all this pressure with this room for some reason. What if this is the only girl I ever have and the only girl nursery I get to do in my home? I just want it to be extra special but I don't really know the direction I'm going to head in yet. 

See even designers get stumped sometimes! 

We have also begun the process of finishing our basement. 

Here it is in it's current state.

Pretty exciting huh?

Basically we'll have a t.v./playroom and that back bedroom will be my new office. So now I have a basement and office to decorate somehow. It's really a lot to take on right now especially while juggling my own clients and trying to do this all before the baby comes at the end of the Summer! 

Stay tuned to see progress with all of these spaces. Let's hope I get it figured out!

You all know how much I love Windows by Melissa. I've used her for many client projects and even had her do a lot of roman shades in my own home. Roman shades can be pricey and her prices are great. 

Well she recently launched her own website! 

The website allows you to easily order your custom window treatments. It also calculates the cost of your window size with various types of fabrics so you can find a fabric choice and window treatments style that is in you budget. They also have a quote calculator that can genorate a quote for you in seconds for any type of window treatment so you can view all of your options.

0 DIY Cloud Art

About a year ago I was flipping through one of my favorite decor books and I came across this amazing art installation of cloud art.

I loved how serene it was and I knew that I would somehow find a way to incorporate something like this in my home. 

Jett's room has a big empty wall so this was the perfect place for our gallery wall of cloud art. 

My husband is a pilot and he took all these pictures from the cockpit while he was flying which makes the art meaningful and special to us. I framed them in Ikea ribba frames and had the prints blown up at my local Walgreens. 

I love love love how they turned out and Jett really loves them too. Every morning when I come get him in his room he says, "Whoa, mom look at those clouds!" 

I am not the first one to attempt this project.
