I've been making a few seasonal changes to my porch. I started off by ordering an amazing Fall wreath from this etsy shop.  I also bought this cute door mat from Pottery Barn. It has all the right colors.

 I really loved my Trina Turk pillows but they didn't really scream "Fall" in the way that I wanted them to. So while they were perfect for Summer I needed a replacement. I thought these outdoor pillows from Pottery Barn were perfect. They felt fall-ish while still being vibrant. Plus they are on sale with free shipping! 

 

The one problem with them is that they were 24"x 24" which was way too big and they also had a poly-fill insert instead of down. So I just had Erin cut them up and make them into 22" x 22" pillows with a zipper so I could add a fluffy down insert. 

I wasn't sure about a down fill in an outdoor pillow but I had down inserts in my pillows all summer and they seemed to hold up great. 

I love these small seasonal changes.

We spent this last weekend up at Bear Lake with some friends. It was our last vacation of the summer.

We had so much fun. Jett also learned how to fly a kite!

 

I can't believe it's Fall! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I have a busy week ahead of me. Plus my new intern started today! Exciting stuff..

Today I am featuring the amazing home of Elizabeth from the blog Haute Indoor Couture. Here's how she describes her style.

My husband and I moved into this adorable two bedroom apartment a week after our wedding this past June, and we absolutely love our first place. We combined hand me downs, with thrift store/Cragislist finds and two splurge items to get the look that in a hundred words or less I would describe as "A sophisticated neutral palate that blends a bright and airy feel with durable natural elements." 

I love featuring rentals. Check out how great this rental looks even with all white walls!

This month marks the 3rd birthday of Alice Lane! They opened in September 3 years ago. I started working there in January the year that they opened so I feel like I've been apart of it all from the beginning and I am SO proud of how far they have come! 

Last night I was invited to a birthday celebration along with a few other bloggers. 

Everyone who came left with a beautiful Voluspa candle.

Meghan Carter sent me her new book last week for a review. 

The book is really beautiful. It is chock full of design advice. 

It takes a different approach to designing your home. If you are stuck in a rut with your home I highly recommend reading this book. You will be inspired again!
